A stunning Stuart Frazer kitchen
for a fabulous Barn Conversion
Converting a Yorkshire farmhouse was a labour of love for our clients. The empty barn at the end of the cottages was the key selling point of the property for them, being earmarked as the ideal place for them to have an all-day living, cooking and entertaining space. With backgrounds in interior design and property, they wanted the best for their own home: It had to be Stuart Frazer and SieMatic.
The seller of the property was also a builder, with an inherent knowledge, connection and love of the building, so our clients persuaded him to convert it with a clear brief to him and the architect: that it was to have a Stuart Frazer kitchen and everything was to be built around it!
A visit to Stuart Frazer’s Ribble Valley showroom cemented this view as they immediately fell in love with the formats and finishes of the main displays. Showroom Manager Daniel Horsfield adopted elements of these into their designs, including the bank of Gaggenau ovens, the super-sized Gaggenau fridge-freezer, and the stunning river-washed heart ash Spekva breakfast bar.
Daniel was the perfect designer for such a design-led space and they loved how involved with other elements of the design he became, assisting the architect and adapting multiple design features such as the mezzanine glass panel window, staircase and feature lighting.
The end result is a breath-taking space where the contemporary kitchen contrasts perfectly with the older features of the building.
