A modern take
on a traditional style
When Paula and Tony decided to replace their kitchen, Stuart Frazer was highly recommended to them by their interior designer. They visited the Manchester showroom and immediately fell in love with the Beauxart display. Wanting a modern take on a traditional style, they loved how the kitchen felt homely yet created the elegant look and feel they were looking for.
Their existing kitchen was a different design but the location of the new island had to cover existing fixed services within the floor. Designer David Walthall liaised with the couple’s builder to devise the perfect functional kitchen and sociable space.
Â
The colour scheme of the kitchen was designed to tie in with the rest of the large open plan room, that had been recently renovated. David picked up on chrome elements within the room by incorporating the chrome-framed glass units within the island. The dropped ceiling detail mirrors the island and bespoke booth, specifically designed to enhance the kitchen.
To help maintain a clean and minimal feel to the kitchen, the hob features a built-in extractor. Smaller appliances, such as toasters and food processors are housed within the working larders either side of the ovens.
Â
A Kaleo built-in bottle chiller together with booked-matched quartz worktops enhances the luxurious and elegant feel of the kitchen. David created back-lit niche details either side to of the Siemens stainless steel fridge, freezer, and wine cooler, to provide the ideal place to display key pieces and help create a homely feel.
