SieMatic S2 Kitchen
Barnoldswick
A little bit of persuasion can go a long way especially when it comes to renovating your home. For Sarah Capstick, when it came to the kitchen of her dreams, it helped to have a family friend in the business.
“What is now the dining area had a wall dividing it from the kitchen. I wanted to open up the space for open-plan living but Neil wasn’t convinced.” It was the friend, Mark Harrison, of Stuart Frazer, who actually persuaded him. “I told him my thoughts and he confirmed they would work and set about working on Neil,” she says.
“As soon as Mark presented me with the visuals he’d been working on I could see it,” laughs Neil. “The presentation was all so life-like I could see us living in it and didn’t hesitate to say yes.”
Five months later after many microwaved meals and home cooking provided by Sarah’s parents who live nearby, the Capsticks and sons Dan, 12 and Ben, 8, had a gorgeous open plan kitchen and dining area. The mod cons include Quooker boiling water tap and the funky, lit breakfast bar, is the heart of the home. Sarah, a fan of the minimalist look has combined the best of modern design with the traditional character of the 19th century property.
