SieMatic S2 kitchen, Ribble Valley
One family……two dream kitchens
When the Browns bought adjacent barns near Preston, only Stuart Frazer could create two new dream kitchens for the properties.
Carol fell in love with the kitchens in the Preston showroom. Amanda, her daughter-in-law, had initially wanted a traditional kitchen to match the age of her property. But when Carol persuaded her to visit Stuart Frazer’s showroom she was blown away and immediately set her heart on a SieMatic kitchen. Carol and Amanda then gave Stuart Frazer a real challenge: to design and install two functional, beautiful kitchens in the barn properties – and one in just six weeks.
Â
As a family that loves to cook and entertain, the wish lists of Carol and Amanda were very similar. Both wanted kitchens that are practical, and have distinct areas for cooking, dining and for storing and preparing drinks.
Says Carol, “As soon as I met Sarah Newton, our designer, I felt really comfortable. There was an enormous amount of work to do on both properties from a building and structural point of view, but Sarah wasn’t put off. She took over in a good way and soon walls were being knocked down and the team had started to build extensions to totally re-work the space and allow us to have the kitchens we really wanted.â€
Amanda’s kitchen was completed first – within six weeks, despite the room needing to be stripped right down to floor level, a utility room built on and a wall removed to join the space with the old dining room.
Â
Both kitchens are the S2 KG with gloss doors in truffle mixed with greige with clam shell corian worksurfaces.
